Marlene Hillyer
Hello, my name is Marlene Hillier, I'm a registered dietician with a private practice in Seattle, Washington. It's called Dandelion nutrition. And before working with Grayson, I had a pretty successful practice am I had plenty of clients coming in each week. It was getting lots of referrals. It was very busy and making pretty decent money, but the problem was that I felt like I kind of capped out on how much money I could make and I'd also really capped out on how much time I could spend. I felt like I was spending way too much time on my business in order to get the amount of money that I, that I was getting and I really was wanting some better work life balance. So you know, that the only way for me to make more money was to put in more hours to see more clients, and the only way for me to work less meant taking a cut in pay as a result.
So that's why I signed up for Grayson or to, to work with Grayson. My main hesitation in working with him was that he's not a dietitian and I didn't trust that he really knew the ins and outs of everything it takes to run a Dietitian business. And after I signed up I realized that that doesn't really matter. Like I've got all the dietitian skills. That's what I went to school for. I don't need another Dietitian to help me with that part. What I needed was someone to help me with the business end of running my practice and to fine tune it so that I can be as successful as possible while having really great work life balance. So since I signed up, you know what, I've shifted some things with how I practice, not really what I practice. I'm still doing the same thing essentially. I'm still offering the same kinds of services, but I'm packaging them up in a different way that does a few really great things for both me and my clients.
I get paid more, first of all, which is great. But then also I feel like I'm taking better care of my clients. I feel like I know each one of them much better.
I don't feel resentful responding to an email or a phone call, when, when they have those questions for me in between visits, whereas I, I did feel a little resentful, with strictly using the insurance based practice because I was like, I'm not getting paid for this time, this is just bonus in addition to time working with me. So it felt like I was being asked to volunteer my time to clients and between. Now and be compensated for that time so I don't have that amount of resentment and as a result of me providing better care and more individualized attention to my clients, they're seeing better results too.
So in the end it's a win, win, win all the way around.
So the way I feel different about my practice now relative to before is that it feels a lot more sustainable. I feel like I can keep doing this indefinitely. I actually really look forward to how I can continue to fine tune and tweak how I run my business so that I can continue earning the same amount of money as I am now, if not more, I won't say no to that, right. Well, also working less as you know, I make changes in my life and decided to have a family and all that stuff. So I'm really looking forward to seeing how my practice continues to grow and evolve because just in the last several months working with Grayson, I've seen a huge improvement.
So anyway, if you have any hesitation about signing up, I'd encourage you just go for it. I know it's expensive guys. I really do. And that's a huge leap of faith and I made my money back very quickly in Grayson's program and have since made it back many times over.
So there's no question in my mind that it was an excellent investment in my, in my practice. All right, good luck. Hope to see you on the inside.
